Objectives defined for the area according to the Master Plan of the HSMP*

  •  Protect the natural environment and landscape as well as the archaeological monuments and other cultural assets.

  • Conserve the natural ecosystems as well as native species of flora and fauna, pursuing ecological restoration.

  • Promote scientific research in biology, history, archeology and anthropology

  • Allow the development of tourist and recreational use that generates income to the area, the region and to the country, in a sustainable way so that the ecological balance is kept and scenic beauty is maintained.

  • Restore samples of prehispanic management techniques and hydraulic engineering to enhance the conservation of soil, water and the reintroduction of Andean crops.

  • Make it possible for visitors to enjoy and obtain a greater knowledge of the cultural values for their own education.

  • Contribute to the socioeconomic sustainable development of the local populations, improving their quality of life.

  • Restore samples of integrated use of ecosystems as the Inca civilization managed
