By the year 2021 Instituto Machu Picchu will have contributed to the Master Plan of the Machu Picchu Sanctuary by helping to implement cultural and natural resource management plans and resolve social and conservation constraints.  IMAPI wil lbe a model for organizations of other protected areas.
